Summer Highlights
We’ve had a great year at Grace United Methodist Church and before we slip past summer and into fall, I’d like to share a few highlights with you. First we have our Founders Day celebration from last week. We have a beautiful photo of all our 25+ and 50+ year members (1) and had a tremendous day with a butterfly release, good food, a bounce house, crafts and some face painting! I’d like to take a moment to thank all those who came together to make that event a success, from the Capazzis and Billy who grilled, Carol, who helped organize people to bring food, our teens who did the face painting, and especially Pastor Nyasha who helped organize it all. It was a brilliant success and I’m grateful to all those that helped make it a success! You can also find the list of all the names read on Founders Day, with a couple of updates that happened after the service (2, 3). There’s also a brochure of highlights from the year with the funds raised this year, the youth we are reaching and the social media impact we are having (4, 5). In all, its pretty amazing all that our church has done, and we continue to change hearts and lives through our missions work (CUMAC, Camp YDP, Soup Ministry, and Family Promise), as well as the Nursery School that ministers to our littlest Methodists. In all, as we head into the fall and some of our biggest dates on the calendar (such as the Christmas Fair and Christmas Eve) let’s pause to thank God for the good work he is doing among us! It is a blessing to see the church taking strides ministering to all kinds of people as we seek to be an inclusive community passionately following Jesus Christ. God bless!
