November 2026
To the Congregation of Grace United Methodist Church,
The theme for this year’s Christmas fair is ‘follow the star.’ What a delightful theme! Every year the church is filled with people singing Christmas songs, eating good food and, of course, looking for a good bargain or a great gift basket! It is a season to give thanks for all the good things we have and to prepare our hearts and lives for the symbolic coming of Christ. In fact, many of the liturgical readings during Advent are about the second coming of Christ! We hold these two things in tension. Christ has come in the form of the birth of a baby boy, and Christ will come again. We need to be ready and so we prepare our hearts and we do that by following the star that leads to Christ!
We hope you’ll join us for all the exciting events in this special season, particularly for the Christmas Fair, Cookie Walk and Christmas Eve services.
Christmas Fair - November 21st, 10am-4pm
Cookie Walk - December 12th, 10am
Christmas Eve Service - December 24th
Family Service at 4pm
Formal Service at 8pm
As always, if you’d like to give a gift in support of Grace United Methodist Church, you can use the enclosed envelopes and bring it to church. You can also go online at gumc.org/giving or mail a check to the address below. Below this letter are some of the events taking place this winter. Print it and post it so you don’t miss anything in this incredible season as we follow the star that leads us to Jesus Christ! God bless!
In Christ,
Pastor Brian Neville
